WHAT IS FLL?
In FIRST® LEGO® League, upper elementary school students research a real-world engineering challenge, develop a solution, and compete with LEGO-based robots of their own design and work.
BENEFITS
Applying daily math and science skills to the real world, developing teamwork and problem-solving skills, and learning to design, build, and program autonomous robots are just some of the benefits of FLL!
Competitive events help students build self-confidence because they are supported with team members, coaches, and mentors who have worked hard with them.
DETAILS
With a given theme and designed game, teams create a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot to be played on a 4'x8' wooden table field. Teams also research a problem and create and share their solution. Students embody the FIRST® Core Values and participate in a fun challenge at events. Teams are eligible to awards dedicated to the robot, project presentation, and more.
