WHAT IS FTC?

In the FIRST® Tech Challenge, teams of middle school students are challenged to design, build, and program a robot to play a floor game against other teams’ creations​.

BENEFITS

Learning to build a robot, receiving a hands-on approach to STEM, developing cooperation and valued life skills are only some of the benefits of FTC! Competitive events help students build self-confidence because they are supported with team members, coaches, and mentors who have worked hard with them.

DETAILS

Robots are created with a reusable kit of parts.The robots are programmed under a Java-based Android program. Teams are also eligible to be awarded an award dedicated to the robot, community outreach, or other accomplishments.
